Although Ford still offers a solid work truck with its base model, the new Ford F-150 is still a luxury driving machine. The four-door models with shorter beds are popular among families. The new Ford F-150 trims include the base XL, the XLT, the Lariat, the King Ranch, the Platinum and the Limited. Here is a quick glance at each trim to help you decide which one to choose when you visit us at Franklin Ford near Bellingham, MA.

Ford F-150 XL

The XL is the F-150's base model. This two-door workhorse truck features a 3.3-liter Ti-CT V6 with 290-horsepower and 265 pound-feet of torque. The truck also comes with a tow bar, black-surround grille, daytime running lamps, halogen headlamps, skull cap black side mirrors and cargo box tie-down hooks.

Ford F-150 XLT

The XLT offers more standard features than the XL, including chrome front and rear bumpers, black bezel with black door and tailgate handles, a 170-degree rear door and halogen fog lamps. This truck also comes with a 3.3-liter, 290-horsepower V6 connected to a six-speed automatic transmission.

Ford F-150 Lariat

The new Ford F-150 Lariat now comes with all of Ford's advanced driver-assistance technology. The standard engine is a 325-horsepower 2.7-liter EcoBoost V6 with 400 pound-feet of torque. The engine connects to an electronic 10-speed automatic transmission.

Ford F-150 King Ranch

The new F-150 King Ranch offers Ford's legendary V8 engine, which cranks out 395-horsepower and connects to a 10-speed automatic transmission. Additional standard features include LED box lighting, LED mirror-mounted spotlights, quad-beam LED headlamps and all of Ford's Co-Pilot 360 diver assist technologies.

Ford F-150 Platinum

The new Platinum comes standard with the same powertrain as the King Ranch, but you can add a 3.5-liter EcoBoost V6 or a 3.0-liter power stroke turbodiesel V6. You also get standard 20-inch polished aluminum wheels with all-season tires on the 4x2 and all-terrain tires on the 4x4.

Ford F-150 Limited

The Limited is the Ford F-150's top-of-the-line trim. This truck comes standard with a twin-panel moon roof, and all the driver-assist technologies are included. The only engine available on the Limited is a 450-horsepower, 3.5-liter EcoBoost V6.
