Performance
and Capacity
With six
accessible powertrain choices, you can easily customize your vehicle's brawn to
your needs, whether they be commercial or recreational. Choose between options
like a 3.3-liter V6, a 5.0-liter V8, a 2.7-liter twin-turbocharged V6, a 3.5-liter
twin-turbocharged V6, and of course, the 2.0-liter diesel V6. Regardless, among
these options, you'll enjoy no less than 250-horsepower output, and up to
300-horsepower with the turbocharged options.
The Ford
F-150 also offers the choice for a hybrid powertrain that combines a 2.5-liter
V6 gasoline engine with a 35-kiloWatt electric motor. Paired with a powerful,
10-speed transmission, this combination provides 430-horsepower output and 570-pound-feet
of torque, not to mention, lots of driving between refuels.
In terms of
towing and hauling, the Ford F-150 doesn't disappoint. Enjoy a base towing
capacity of 8,200-pounds, while some of the turbocharged configurations bring
that number up to 14,000-pounds. The hybrid model is expected to land in the
middle of that range, towing up to 12,700-pounds.
